Easton business VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) offers a suite of enhanced voice and data services
hosted on a nationwide IP platform. The service is flexible and can fit the needs of any business from small
companies to large multi-location enterprises. The concept behind VoIP technology is that voice and data
are carried over the same line. An Internet access method that has the bandwidth capabilities to handle voice
and data traffic simultaneously is required in order to make the service work. The Internet access method
may be
SDSL, a cable modem, or a
dedicated Internet access line.
Easton offers two VoIP licenses. The first is IP PBX service, which is a replacement product for customers
utilizing POTS Centrex service. With IP PBX, license features are hosted on the carrier's IP platform and a
seat license is needed for every station. The second license type is SOHO for single line small business end
users. The SOHO license is also a hosted service. With both services, 300 minutes of local calling is
included in the price of a license. Easton VoIP offers local and long distance calling with many features
that you currently enjoy with your local service today along with many more enhanced features.
