Click on the "Network and Dial-up Connections" icon. If this is not available under
"My Computer", click on "Control Panel" and you will get the following screen with
"Network and Dial-up Connections" located there.
Under the "Network and Dial-up Connections" screen, double click on the "Make New Connection" icon.
Click "Next" on "Network Connection Wizard" screen.
You will see the following screen. Select the second option "Dial-up to the Internet" and click "Next".
On the next screen, select the third option "I want to set up my Internet connection manually,
or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)". Then click "Next".
On this screen select "I connect through a phone line and a modem" and click "Next".
Enter the phone number from the access number list that is provided and make sure it is a local
call for your location. If you need to dial an area code with your local number, also enter it in the
box titled "Telephone Number", leave the "Area code" box empty. Make sure that the "Use area code and
dialing rules" box is unchecked unless you need to call long distance to connect to the nearest access
number. Note: (Easton is not responsible for long distance charges). Now click the "Next" button at
the bottom of the screen.
Type in your username ("username@eastontelecom.com") and then your password on this screen exactly
as provided on your Easton Connect Access Form. The username and password are case sensitive so be
sure to enter them in all lowercase characters. Click "Next".
Type "Easton Connect" as the name to use as the connection name and click "Next".
Select "No" when asked to "Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now?" then click "Next".
Make sure that there is a check mark in the box beside "To connect to the Internet immediately, select
this box and then click Finish". Click "Finish".
Click "Connect" on this screen to connect to the Internet.
