Open Outlook. Go to "Tools" and then "Accounts". The following picture appears. Click on "Add" and then "Mail".
Enter your full name, as you would like it to appear in your e-mails.
In the "E-mail address:" field enter in your e-mail address as "username@eastontelecom.com". Please
refer to your Easton Connect Access Form for you username. Reminder: Make sure you enter your
username in all lowercase characters.
When setting up your E-mail Server Names, make sure that a POP3 server is selected for the Incoming
mail server and then enter"pop3.eastontelecom.com" as the Incoming mail server. For the Outgoing
mail (SMTP) server, enter "smtp.eastontelecom.com".
Under the Internet Mail Logon screen, enter your Account name as "username@eastontelecom.com" and then
enter your password and check the Remember password box. Please refer to your Easton Connect Internet
Access Form for your username and password. Reminder: Enter both your username and password in all
lowercase characters.
When asked "Which method do you want to use to connect to the Internet?", select "Connect using my phone line".
If you are using Outlook Express, click "Next" then "Finish" on the following screen to save all of your settings.
You can skip to step #9.
On the next screen select the Easton Connection you have created and click "Next".
Click "Finish" on the following screen to save all of your settings.
After entering in all of the above information, you will get the following screen. Click on "Properties".
Make sure that all the information under the General tab is correct. Then click on the Servers tab and
make sure that all the information there is correct also.
Make sure the "My server requires authentication" box is checked. Then click on "Settings" and make sure
that "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected. After you are finished verifying your
settings, click on "Ok" until you get to the main screen.
